Prayer times change every day because they follow the position of the sun, not the clock. Fajr begins at dawn, Dhuhr just after midday, Asr in the afternoon (its exact time differs between the Hanafi and Shafi’i schools, which is why this page offers both settings), Maghrib at sunset and Isha when twilight has disappeared. Where you live changes these times too, so this page calculates them for your city using the method most common in your region. You can change the calculation method or the Asr setting above at any time, and set a reminder so you never miss a prayer. A note on methods: most regions follow one main calculation method — such as the Muslim World League, ISNA for North America, or the University of Islamic Sciences, Karachi — and the differences between them are usually only a few minutes at Fajr and Isha. If your local mosque follows a particular timetable, choose the method closest to it and keep one method consistently rather than switching back and forth.
