اللَّهُ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ ۚ لَا تَأْخُذُهُ سِنَةٌ وَلَا نَوْمٌ
Allāhu lā ilāha illā huwal-Ḥayyul-Qayyūm, lā ta’khudhuhū sinatuw-wa lā nawm
“Allah! There is no god but He, the Living, the Self-subsisting, Eternal. No slumber can seize Him nor sleep.” — Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:255
Ayatul Kursi is widely regarded as the greatest verse in the Quran. The Prophet ﷺ taught that reciting it after each obligatory prayer, and before sleep, brings protection until the next prayer or until morning.
“Whoever recites it, nothing will remain between him and entering Paradise except death.” — on the virtue of Ayatul Kursi after obligatory prayer, Sunan al-Nasa’i
Method of recitation

Recite after every prayer
The Prophet ﷺ said whoever does so, nothing prevents them from Paradise but death.

A guardian from Allah stays with you, and no devil approaches until morning.

Reflect on the meaning
Recite with presence of heart, understanding Allah’s power and protection.
